Despite the patchy weather, it was wonderful to see so many old and new faces from the Irish & International Investment / M&A Community come together to catch up over a beer and a burger!

The confidence and buoyancy amongst the attendees was a reminder of how strong the Irish economy is and how many great entrepreneurs & businesses Ireland produces. It is entrepreneurial bravery that we all rely on in doing deals and supporting the growth of great businesses.

My one key observation was just how many private equity houses and investors attended from the UK and further overseas. Irish entrepreneurs and businesses punch well above their weight in attracting investment from overseas which is great to see.

It was again hugely encouraging to hear that the market remains buoyant, with plenty of investors, advisers & entrepreneurs collaborating closely to complete M&A deals. There was a clear theme of backing entrepreneurial bravery in the room with many Irish business owners look into expand overseas and develop new innovative goods or services or to expand further overseas.
 
Over 100 key decision makers in the Irish Investment Community come together once a quarter for QUID, the Quarterly in Dublin, an invite only senior networking event. This community covers senior professionals in Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Restructuring, Banking, Corporate Law and the Irish and UK Private Equity community.
