As a Foundation we support not-for-profit organisations, whether charities or social enterprises, to become powerful agents of positive systems change.
We don’t donate and disappear. We work closely with partners to help them scale what matters. Supporting organisations that are already succeeding — and who are ready to grow — in areas where our experience, insight, and networks can help unlock the next stage.
We are focused on supporting organisations in the following three areas which align to the pillars of our H.A.V.E. Positive Impact Charter:
for groups facing discrimination and inequities
for young and/or under-represented communities
Simplification to remove complexity, asking the questions that unlock growth and create a clear strategic direction. Mentoring and supporting founders and CEOs to get the best return on time
Growth for our partners means more than numbers, but brilliant financial planning and structures are critical to delivering long-term impact
Deep diving into every aspect of the business for scalable growth, long-term impact, and bold transformation
Supporting the technology journey, from access to our tech-driven tools, to audits, resource planning, and ROI models
Development of clear positioning, 'Why Us', audience insights and marketing communications
The best teams develop and attract the best talent. Utilising our tools, we help our partners unlock the potential of their people and teams
We work with organisations that already have a proven level of impact from their current activities and who have the potential and ambition to significantly scale this impact.
Our partners are genuinely interested in a deep relationship with the Broadlake Foundation. They have an appetite for an ongoing relationship founded upon mutual respect and one that leverages the expertise and platforms which Broadlake, its companies, and its people have successfully used to scale its businesses.
We provide organisational and operational-scaling support which is flexible and bespoke to our partners’ needs and strategic context.
Organisations that have moved beyond the start-up phase and have achieved positive organisational governance, culture and performance. Day-to-day operations should provide practical evidence of the organisation’s guiding logic model or theory of change.
A clear plan to grow impact through one or more of the following: expansion of output or service levels, development of new services or interventions, geographic expansion, improved quality, or a combination of these.
At a regional, national or international level, the ambition should not only be to generate more output, but to influence wider systems in order to create fairer and more sustainable outcomes for all.
A strong recognition that scaling impact will require significant organisational development at governance and leadership levels, combined with an interest in collaborating and partnering with Broadlake to support this change.
However, if you consider that your organisation or an organisation you would recommend operates within one of our three areas of interest and possesses the proven impact and organisational readiness we are seeking, please reach out to us.
Grants of between €50,000 and €250,000 p/a per partner are available spread over 2 years, subject to progress. The goal is financial independence and diversification of income within this time frame.
We look at an extended non-financial partnership period of up to 5 to 10 years, reflecting the depth of relationship we want to develop and our interest in the sustained effort to achieve enduring impact.
